It is confirmed that one of the São Paulo shows will be filmed for television purposes but i don't think that will be for the DVD. There is this strong rumor of NYC being filmed for the DVD so we will probably get at least two shows professionally filmed!
My only concern is with the angles. Judging by the Olympia directors cut they tend to mess with it to highlight the screens too much and we end up missing mandatory shots like the first strike a pose. Oh well.
Tour effect on the Charts in the USA
From UKMIx:
Quote:
For the first time in a LONG time, MDNA and Celebration make huge jumps on US iTunes Pop (small pre-tour effect in the media maybe?)
MDNA #58 (was absent from top 200 as late as last week)
Celebration #98 (Usually stable around 150-200)
MDNA is at n 48 on Canadian i tunes , yes before the concert in Montreal
When you strip away the hoopla surrounding her various guises, her once-daring sexual envelope-pushing, her celebration of her celebrity and her bad-Catholic girl pose, what’s left? An entertainer who, admittedly, outdoes all her imitators and progeny when it comes to dancefloor pop – a point made clear when she slyly incorporated Lady Gaga’s Born This Way into Express Yourself.
...the superstar’s virtually continuous motion was absolutely astonishing for a 54-year-old performer, and certainly enough to put wannabes half her age to shame.
As midnight went by and she closed the night with the DJ motif of a high-energy version of Celebration, you had to look hard for signs of fatigue on Madonna’s face. And the fans? They could have stayed all night.
Last year Gaga couldn't get away from the Madonna comparisons and this year Madonna can't get away from the Gaga comparisons. I love that they both get publicity whenever either of them do anything. They need to team up on something and blow everyone away.
