BTW sold that much in THREE days, not one week. It didn't have a full week to debut and it stayed #1 for six weeks.
Just because someone breaks another person's record, doesn't mean that person didn't hold the record to begin with. Records are meant to be broken and that fact that Gaga was able to hold onto that record for over a year is very impressive considering she lost digital power.
Let's not even get into Demi Lovato's Skyscraper going from top ten to out of the charts completely in one week's time.
