I really think Adele could destroy Rihanna in terms of touring.. I bet more people would be willing to see Adele , than Rihanna.

Last year (New York and Chigaco concerts) the tickets for Adele went up to 5.000$ at Ebay

They've also had lucrative merchandise sales, especially Bono, who makes lots of money outside of music. Elton does over 100 shows each tour, including another 100 shows in Las Vegas. He's also a successful movie producer (his latest movie grossed $300 million.)

Bono and Elton So much money. Doesn't Elton also have one of the biggest Broadway show there is?

Iconic and Buble rightly fits. No one cares about him or his genre? 7 million people who bought Crazy Love do and I happen to have a copy as well.
Usher is not iconic.

I'm sorry, but you are totally deluded if you think that Buble will be remembered for eternity like the icons and legends. His record sales are impressive and consistent, but that doesn't make you an icon.

I don't think Usher is known outside of the US, and the UK (this maybe a stretch)

Buble will be iconic, and will be remembered the same way Frank Sinatra is. He will not be iconic in a sense that Michael Jackson is iconic. They are two different things. Buble will be iconic.

Most of the people in the United States know who Usher is though that can't be said for Michael he has a very specific demographic outside of that no one knows who he is.

Buble will be revered in his niche, but I can't see it going beyond that tbh. Only time will tell though I guess.

|
Of course. The phenomenon status/hype + Grammys helped her a lot, but those didn't cost her label a penny. I was solely refering to the promotion that costs money, since profit is the topic at hand.

You realize that Michael Buble is Canadian? That make the US his international market too. And ALL of his studio albums sold more than 2 million copies in the US. You're ignorant for saying his demographic is specific. His demographic is BIGGER than Usher's, Bieber's, and all the other male pop stars combined Michael Buble will be timeless and iconic like Tony Bennett is iconic right now.

Because she doesn't need to tour She's so successful that she doesn't need to tour. Even her Concert DVD is slaying.

Buble's niche is jazz/big band I accept that, but he IS a bigger jazz/big band icon than Usher is a pop icon.

Exactly. This is the promotion that not even Gaga will be able to buy. This is the highest level of promotion right there.

No hits after this, at least in Germany.

BEING ICONIC is NOT just about performances. Buble is iconic as a whole artist. His voice, his talent, his songs
That's the problem with Beyonce, Gaga stans. Every performance is "iconic".

I agree, but I guess that's down to luck and the nature of his field. Jazz music is pretty immobile, it's been frozen in time to sound a certain way indefinitely. He doesn't have to reinvent himself in the same way that Pop and RnB stars have. Also Buble has practically no competition, and he doesn't have to worry about radio at all, which most other stars are at the mercy of (including Adele).
It's all very easy for Buble, and the only thing that will damn him is if the market changes, which is surprisingly not happening just yet.

Gaga and other popstars still make more money though, according to forbes anyway.

^ This.
Why are we even comparing Usher to Buble? They're not even each other's competition

Gaga earned $90 million, and Buble earned $70 million.. no big difference, but only the fact that Buble is not as hyped and as in your face as Gaga is.
