Calvin Harris has been popular and relevant in the EDM world for years. And i am not talking about pop... I'm talking about her potential to become relevant in the EDM world. WFL has had more success in the US over any other Electronic song released

Now that I can't argue with, however like I mentioned before I'm talking about mainstream Pop in the U.S. That stuff has been slowly becoming mainstream since 09. It may have not been as hard or electronic as in the U.K but it was starting to become prevalent more so than and now it's evolving into the deeper realms of EDM. And I think that's where Gaga is going now.

With her statements about Zedd's "Spectrum", as well as recent material from all her confirmed and rumored producers, it's safe to say she's probably going pure EDM this era, meaning like "Spectrum" style. It's appropriate considering her place in helping to introduce dance back into the US mainstream, as she can now help to further that.

Yeah some people don't understand the difference between say dance pop and EDM. Dance pop is the KIA while EDM is the Mercedes in dance music. That's the best way I can put it. With producers like Zedd and Madeon, she may be taking a ride in the Mercedes

But dance pop has been growing steadily more electronic recently. The genres have sort of merged, as evident in works like The Fame Monster (to some extent), and what Gaga seems to be doing now is moving away from the middle ground currently established into the more electronic EDM side of the spectrum.

As much as people like to trash The END, it was actually one of the most innovative mainstream albums of its time. And will.i.am continued that direction with The Beginning. which would have done better if there had been more of a respite between the two albums.

The Peas don't get enough credit, honestly. The Fame was a great transition effort, as well. But RedOne's productions are very strongly centered in pop trends that were already present at the time, such as musical tropes found in songs such as "Hot N Cold" and "Disturbia," and he hasn't updated his sound at all.

There's also the fact that he slapped some instrumental elements of one of Kat DeLuna's songs on "Bad Romance."
