She has the most credits on Rated R I think and in an interview on American Idol she said something about that Rude Boy was the song she worked the hardest on / put the most effort in or something like that.
Listen to the demo of Rude Boy and you'll figure out what she contributes to a song.
Rihanna doesn't seem to have any musical talent at all.
I don't think this is really fair to artists that don't write their own music because, well frankly not everybody can write a song. I mean sure it's amazing when a singer can contribute greatly to their work, but I still don't mind I mean their known more for their singing rather than their actual lyrics anyways. Plus, Rihanna knows a good song when she hears one because homegurl be making me wanna dance.
Well I can only speak for myself here.
Either way we all know Rihanna's lyrical contributions to her music are minimal but because they haven't been vocally discussed that much this topic will remain inconclusive.

i agree...she's a singer and not a songwriter. I'm merely bringing up a top of discussion...but @ the same time, if the contribution is so insignificant (not saying that rih's are...but they seemingly are), why be credited @ all and create the illusion that you are a songwriter?
Idc whether or not she writes them because she makes most things she's given sound good
+1 as Kelly Clarkson says about what a true artist is "A true artist is someone who can take a song and make it their own" and that's something Rihanna does time and time again...

There is no illusion, everyone pretty much knows she isn't a songwriter, she just has a few credits here and there. The only thing that we do not know is how much she contributes on those few credits.
