Because they're private. So you have to be on the person's friend list most likely to view it (or if you are on their ignore list and they have the settings where people on the ignore can't see your blog, that could be a reason too)

Umm no, If the option for a private blog is allowed why can't people use it, if its such a problem ignore it and move on. Its not a big deal, no need to be nosy. And no one is looking for attention, if we wanted attention we would've made it public. Now if you may, move on from it.
