Obviously we should be finding ad alternatives, and not a way to adhere to these guys. I mean, every website I go to would have their ads pulled if they used these guys...
and if this is google....
why do they still partner with youtubers who break ALL of these rules...

if your only options are continue censorship or shut down the site...then please, continue the censorship.
it's really not a big deal. I don't think anyone wants to see the site shut down.

also continuing my past questions about content, which were completely ignored because mentioning getting rid of SYG and NHB is apparently touchy, what about "Teh Clique" thread? That's almost always vulgar in content. Even the opening post. How is THAT okay?

Truthfully, I never used to curse that much and I usually sensor myself, but because of the sensor, I feel free enough to say it knowing it's going to be sensor (I'm not saying that as a good thing, BTW)

None of those are ok, thats the point of this discussion is to try and determine what we should do with things like NHB, because as it stands we cannot continue to operate that way.

Get rid of Teh Clique and all of those irrelevant chat threads, but you cant get rid of NHB and SYG. They're staples of ATRL.

I like it. I mean it's annoying at first but I can deal.
I just have one suggestion:
At least put one letter uncensored so we know what the word is 
For example:
F*ck = ****
Sh*t = ****
Sl*t = ****
 We sometimes don't know what they said.

I think that some of the censored words are a little...ridiculous. I personally don't have much of an issue with it. We shouldn't really be using curse words so often in the first place. But I really want to be able to say The *****cat Dolls.

SYG should stay imo, that's the atrl staple.

Gotten used to the censoring, its not too hard figuring out what a **** would be in the context of a sentence. rather the site stays open than not.

I don't believe that advertisers prohibit explicit content. Reading content on Pitchfork, Grantland, Rolling Stone, etc., I see several instances where writers freely use curse words in their work. And they have sponsors as well.
I do find it kind of ridiculous that saying something like *****cat Dolls is now prohibited. It really isn't a huge deal though. We know what people are trying to say behind the asterisks.
