Keep in mind: this isn't stan-mode Ryan. This is accurate and unbiased.
1) Check your Macy's. Chances are they have a tester.
2) The Macy's employee that I talked to told me that at least 30 people ask about the fragrance every hour. She said it will be the biggest launch in ages; and she was being completely genuine.
3) This is a 50-something black woman, and she said "I'm obsessed!" She said that she hasn't gotten a single complaint on the smell. She specifically said "if someone comes into the store willing to spend money and the person smells the fragrance, he or she WILL buy it. It's that good. It's THAT addictive."
4) It goes with all body chemistries so far. (For those of you who aren't as familiar with the fragrance world, some fragrances just smell like crap on certain people. Who knows why...But it has to do with body chemistry.)
5) They originally put the bottles/packages/etc. on the shelves, but they had to take it off because the demand was so freaking high. Everyone wanted to buy it, but they couldn't sell it.
6) She said it will be absolutely massive. She's never seen anything like this at Macy's for one single product. This will be absolute insanity.
Now - the scent itself. I can tell you that this comes from a good nose - not as a Gaga fan... I pride myself on my cologne collection. I don't mean to sound conceited - I'm just trying to clarify that this ISN'T is crazed-stan review.
The biggest question - yes, it smells good. It smells - amazing. It really is like a mix of dark and light. Sweet and musky is too literal.
If fragrances were politics, and perfume was liberal & cologne was conservative, FAME would be as moderate as it gets. When I say anyone can wear this, I truly mean it. ANYONE can wear FAME. Even straight dudes.
Yes. Seriously.
I was with my roommate who has a husband in the Marines. She wants him to wear (but she wants to wear it too so she doesn't know what to do ).
The only people that couldn't wear this are asexual people (because it smells like pure sexxx at times) and people with like... nose allergies?
The sillage (how long the fragrance lasts) is really fantastic.
Oh - and the whole push-pull (rather than typical pyramid-note) structure bull**** isn't bull**** at all. Smells really do seem to come and go; but the cool thing is that the different smells *feel* different. It goes from light and airy; and then you'll smell 30 minutes later and it smells musty (not bad musty) and sexy...almost like, nighttime.
It's great. It's amazing. It's a true knockout for Gaga in every sense. This will be a massive success. I have no doubt of that.

I came to share my story about it today.
I went with my mom and sister to Dillards and I didn't even know they were going to sell it but they had this massive display off to the front check out area with tons of boxes of FAME piled on top of each other and there was a woman there for the people who wanted to try it. I sprayed it on myself, my mom, and my sister and waited a few minutes for the fragrance to settle. At first for me it smelled very floral, but as the time went by the floral subsided slightly and I could smell the incense which made it smell less girly on me. Then on my mom is started out with incense but then turned floral and on my sister is started fruity and stayed fruity. It literally smelled like a different perfume on each of us and we were just like "WTF?!" The woman said that loads of people have tried it and it smells differently on virtually every single person because it literally adapts to your body chemistry unlike most fragrances and changes. It's been about 8 hours and I can still sort of smell it on my skin and I want to buy it so badly.
I think of course it's going to be game-changing. COTY is going to be using the opaque-to-clear and push-pull technologies for all of its new fragrances because it allows you to do some really amazing stuff. If they're smart, they will liscense it out to other companies for big bucks and Gaga's impact will be even bigger.
The only bad thing is that we can't drag people who say it smells bad because it smells differently for everyone. Like, literally everyone will have a different opinion because it will smell differently. It's insane. The best part is that you can really tell how much work went into the perfume. With a lot of fragrances, it's an "oh, cute smell," but with this, and my mom and sister agree, it's an "oh, wow" smell that really envelops you and makes you feel amazing.
