Well I was already pro-meat and pro-fur to begin with so nothing really changed after the fact.

She can spend her earnings how she wants. How would you feel if Lady Gaga told you how to spend your hard earned money?

if i had the money like her, i would rather spend it on the poor kids instead of using it on clothes of dead animals, but that's just me, you don't have to agree with me

You think they killed those rabbits specifically for Gaga? Animals are killed everyday for meat, the rabbit fur on that coat most likely came from rabbits that were originally killed for their meat. Nearly everyone eats meat, so I don't get why people are so against wearing fur. If you kill an animal for food, might as well use the fur/skin for something and not waste it.
|
using dead animals to feed yourself and for fashion is totally different but i kinda get what you're saying with the comparision tho

Animals that have very soft fur are generally killed for their fur, not their meat. The fur is often far more valuable than the meat.
I mean, rabbit meat? Really?
It's a cute spin, though.

Are you serious? Gaga has donated millions to several charities from Japan earthquake relief to things like Homeless LGBT Youth centers. You could say the whole 'spend your money on poor kids instead" argument about every celeb. Not just Gaga.

Yes, people do eat rabbit meat. They have it in some grocery stores too but then again IDK if that's why they were killed but who cares. She can wear/buy what she wants. Same with you and me and everyone else.

I don't eat meat and I would never wear fur, but it's a personal choice. I'm not one of those annoying vegetarians who yell at people when they eat meat, and I'm certainly not going to do the same for fur. It's hypocritical.

Why is she even wearing fur? That picture of Gaga looks like if it came out straight from P!nk's "Stupid Girls" video

Rabbit meat is a delicacy. Many, MANY people eat it. It's commonly served at super fancy restaurants. It's super lean and tastes kinda like chicken, just like every other alternative source of meat.
And yes, some do take fur from slaughterhouses, but you're right, they're commonly bred and captured just for the fur. It's higher quality that way.

She didn't pay for the coat. But that point is still ncredibly hypocritical, do you spend any money on luxuries? For example have you bought a cd? You can feed a homeless family with that money.
And both are entirely unnecessary.

I'm aware that people eat rabbit meat. I'm just calling out the convenience argument you are trying to make as if the meat of these animals is the most important and they just happen to have remnant fur lying around.
"Fur farming" is an actual industry.

Let's be honest - Gaga needs something to define her new era. So maybe the whole "I am Cruella"-thing/going back to being a media villain is how the next era will play out?

It's the whole Kim Kardashian/Paris Hilton/Linsay Lohan thing. Fall and rise of a celebrity, right?
I mean she even has a toy dog

It doesn't. I was kidding around. We paint the horses at the farm I work at and they love the attention.

 So true.
P!nk would be royally pissed about this, we all know how much she stands for animal rights. I agree though, I think real fur is very unnecessary and cruel unless the animal is being killed for its meat in the first place. If so, why not use the most of it?

No, I actually don't. She has a right to buy a coat if she wants one. You buy jackets in your income range, so why can't she buy a nice jacket she wants because she has more money? People just love to bitch and complain over anything. I honestly don't see the issue here. She gives to multiple charities, donates, and even has her own foundation. It's not like she's a rich snob, who has no heart. She probably didn't even purchase the coat herself, it was probably given to her, so don't give me that supply and demand crap. It's not like she went hunting, and made the coat from animals she killed herself, so whatever.
