I agree. Taylor should've taken the Adele route; it would've been the natural progression for her. It's what I expected, tbh, and that's why WANEGBT is so... difficult to accept. I still have faith that there will be some typical Taylor-Adele type songs on the album.
You can market yourself to broad audiences without catchy Max Martin songs, and you can be child-friendly without marketing yourself to children, which is something else I wish she'd stop.
