The gerls get fickle once somethin' "under performs".
I hɑppen to love it, though it's one of those ɑlbums thɑt should be listened to every other month or so.. .
I can listen to it more, it's just not much of an "album" and more of a collection of songs.
It's so weird how everyone was really loving that album at first. It really was a crowd pleaser.... what happened?
''Give It 2 Me'' failed to be the ''Sorry'' to ''4 Minutes'''s ''Hung Up'', and everyone deemed the campaign to be failed and the album to be a trainwreck.
Still, that album is much better than what we got this March.
I'm really kinda tired of being one of the only Madonna fans on here who love MDNA and criticized for it. When you think about it MDNA is a decent effort, and would have been more than a decent effort if different singles were chosen, and the four duds were replaced. The album really has only three or four bad songs out of what, 15 songs? Songs like love spent and gang bang are out the box and are different than anything Madonna has really done in a long time. I really just don't see the hate. Musicians...LEGENDS even have made albums that a more of duds than MDNA, if I can bop to more than 12 songs on an 16 track album, I'm not going to consider the album bad. And just think if songs like in addicted, gang bang and beautiful killer were chosen as singles? The era would be doing a lot better than it is now, because people would be exposed to the exceptional songs on the album.
I don't think the album is uninspired either, sometimes the production drowns out her voice but I feel more effort put into her vocal interpretation, than I did say for hard candy. Also she really spent her time making an exceptional tour for the album.
I just really needed to vent. I'm tired of people dissing the album like it's so so bad. I'm enjoying it now and I wish people would stop laughing at me for it.
Oh and hard candy is not better than MDNA by miles. It's a half assed effort of Madonna, trying to look cool and hang with the black people. Yes I meant that the way I said it.
Madonna was much more personally invested in this project whether you guys like it or not, and love spent is better than ANY song on that album.
I'm not sure if I agree with Madonna being 'invested' more but I felt like she did try to express herself more. I think she did try to do new things but I don't think they worked out as well, and I got sick of it fast. I prefer the personal songs on HC (DWRY, Voices, Miles Away). It's not one of the worst albums ever like people make it out to be though.
I can say that I "like" all the songs on MDNA's regular version sans tracks 5,7 and 8. I love tracks 2, 3, 6, 10, 11,12.
Like Onen said, people need to be exposed to the great songs from the album, because Interscope was/is seriously not expecting some sort of killer commercial success with GAYL, GWW and TUTR, so why not just release the good songs from the album, put effort in the visuals (even though it's a little late for that) and see how it all works out?
I wouldn't like to have "I'm Addicted" and "Love Spent" left without remixes nor videos, plus the former one sounds like proper radio material.

I agree with this but I still prefer Hard Candy to MDNA.
MDNA does have good tracks on it, but compared to some of her other work, MDNA has much more average and bad songs. Nevertheless, if MDNA was sung by someone else, whose discography was at a much lower standard compared to Madonna, then a lot of people would say they liked it.
I don't think MDNA is a bad album, but it's not a good album - I'd say it's average.
I like MDNA, but along with Hard Candy I think it's a 6/10 album. It has some bad songs, but it's not a bad album. It's just not to her highest standard.
But I do find it hilarious when fans of people like Britney, Katy, Rihanna, Nicki and Ke$ha bash it, when they would be CREAMING if their fave released songs like Gang Bang, I'm Addicted and Beautiful Killer.

True! Same with ''Hard Candy''. If Britney released it (well, with a different title and without mr. Timberlake) fans would've FREAKED THE **** OUT.
Still, I really don't think Britney's voice (especially on ''Femme Fatale'') could handle most of the stuff Madonna has recorded but I'll come back to that in SYG someday.
Totally agree with you guys. People are bashing Hard Candy and MDNA only because of Madonna's age. If those albums were from a younger popgirl, everyone would scream masterpiece.
The simple problem with MDNA is not that it has horrible songs, the problem is that the worst songs from the album were exposed to the public. The album has great songs on it, I would say that some of them are the best of her career, Love Spent, Beautiful Killer, I'm Addicted, Gang Bang are great songs, but the public doesn't know them.
