It's not off-topic if it pertains to a misleading thread. Unless you really think a thread about an article about nails should have the title "Lady Gaga: Express Yourself"?
You can always get warned for a post like that. If you think the thread is flamebait or its title should be changed or whatever, just report it. A post like that can only cause arguments.
