It doesn't get more ethereal than Kate Bush. One of the biggest ranges in modern popular music; Kate used her otherworldy gift to fully embrace the sensual worlds. If it weren't for this woman, a large swath of "weird girl art-pop" would not exist.
Tinny. Whiny. Nothing more than a coo. But, for late 80s/early 90s babies, Gwen's voice is the voice of our generation - from childish pleas to urgent stompers, it travails through it all. At the right moment, it can break your heart.

A globally known tremolo and equally impressive sense of vibrato set her apart, and her unique way with words in two languages always is aided by the passion she brings to the vocal.
The most successful alto of her generation, Pink has lasted for over a decade because she can handle it all. Fit it her into R&B, rock, pop, country, folk, or blues and it sounds natural - all because of her voice, bringing to mine many greats (namely Janis, who you may see later) but undoubtedly belonging to her.
She is so great. Her voice is severely underrated. I'm glad she made it.
