Most of you probably don't like this because the last song you heard of hers was Lights. If you hear the rest of the album its much more indie influenced. I guess that is where she's going with this era
Exactly, all they know is her pop stuff. ACH sounds a lot more like her album tracks.
I dont think the song is comparable to anything she released in the past. Imo is a new sound for her. Its really synthpop, Lights was more like summery eurodance-acoustic/folktronic. I'm really missing acosutic guitars from the previews from Halcyon.
I wasn't super keen on it at first but man it won't leave my head. I'm surprised, too, because I really thought the repetition would have annoyed me by now. Can't stop listening.
It's far, far, better than I expected. I really didn't like Hanging On and was scared it would be one of those cases where I only liked her first album and wouldn't like the direction of the second. However I admit I was wrong to think that - I absolutely loved this Great song! Sure, it's simple, but at the end of the day music is about fun, and I'd certainly call this song fun
The beginning kinda reminded me of something that I seriously know but can't put my finger on...
On first listen: it sounds pretty good! I think through this song + the album teaser I'm liking the direction she's taking for her new album a lot more than her debut.
Sounds like a typical indie track I'd hear on a TV commercial, etc.
Her old work is better. (And I've listened to her album tracks, not just 'Lights.')
What? I feel like this is more commercial than anything on Lights/Bright Lights. Still love it, but it's not nearly as indie as everything on that album.
