Okay, so if Katy released the EP I made, she'd still have a huge era. Teenage Dream would have been the lead single and it'd have slayed through summer of '10, then towards the fall, Firework would have been released, we'd still get the amazing Grammy performance with Not Like the Movies and Teenage Dream, then she'd do ET with Kanye, then Hummingbird Heartbeat, and finally Wide Awake. It wouldn't have been as long but they'd have all gone #1, giving her six consecutive #1's.
The EP also has a little bit of cohesion, it's all centering about love and joy. The EP starts with Katy's teenage dream and her futuristic love affair. The songs in the first half are all very much "all good times no bad times" songs, like a dream. As it progresses, she gets closer and closer to reality, she hits "Firework", which is self-empowering but also self-reflective, then Not Like The Movies, where she's in doubt that she'll really find true love, finally thinking she's found it towards the final verse, all leading to the final track, Wide Awake, where she has woken up from this teenage dream and had a serious reality check. It's an easy concept, but a concept nontheless.
I just don't wanna be bottom two again
