The lowdown: Taylor has said this big-chorused country-pop jam is about her tendency to run from love. Serving as the lead single from Speak Now, it launched the album in a huge way. Despite receiving some criticism for its similarities to "Love Story," it reached #1 on iTunes in five hours, debuting at #3 on the Hot 100. It would go on to peak at #2 on country radio and win the 2011 CMT Music Award for Video of the Year.
The vote: We're splitting hairs at this point on the countdown, since all the remaining songs did very well. While "Mine" received seventeen 9's and 10's, that 1 (and a couple more last-minute low scores) cost it a spot in the top ten.
Best line: "I was a flight risk with a fear of falling/wondering why we bother with love if it never lasts"

I was super resistant to "Mine" at first, since I couldn't get past how much it reminded me of "Love Story." But you know what this rate made me realize? "Mine" is everything that "Love Story" wishes it was. I kind of love it now!
