It's a bit much, yes. There's nothing wrong with him being a big fan but he goes overboard. He never even met her but he acts as though she was a past girlfriend.

Obviously she made enough of an impact on his life that he felt the need/want to do that. It'd be different if she was alive, I'm positive he wouldn't have tattoos of her. Just because they never met doesn't mean that she didn't effect his life enough for him to want a tat of her.
