I agree. Love GaGa but she does not stand a chance to Beyonce in a vocal contest. She gets very nasally from time to time even in her comfort zone of notes while Beyonce does not. However, Beyonce does get shrill when getting in the upper register and I find her studio recording to be more pleasant than the live performance.

Ive always been fond of Beys tone, it's light and can blend in with anything.

Personally, I think it's overrated to an extent but that's mainly by her fans. The media gives her the vocal praise she deserves, imo. Her voice does nothing for me.


You mentioned that her voice has emotion... I don't hear it. She does have power and some good range. Very nice control but her tone is blah. As far as skill... (I'm assuming you mean technique) it works for her so I'm not mad.

Beyonce is among the best singers in the industry. Very few are on her level vocally. FEW. Kelly, Jennifer, Carrie and Adele and Christina sometimes.
