One thing I will say though is that I'm glad no one arbitrarily reported posts or the thread. We all had a good time.
More threads should be like this.
But I'm getting oWT before the real mess comes in.
Marilyn Monroe's image, affair with JFK, and alleged overdose -- sensationalized and controversial. Elvis Presely hips gyrating -- very controversial back then. Not to mention the fact that he joined the army -- a celebrity of his status joining the military to fight in the war was very sensationalized. These moments made their celebrity status surpass their contemporaries. Marilyn Monroe is more famous than Elizabeth Taylor and Aubrey Hepburn. Elvis Presley is more famous than The Beatles. Whenever these current celebrities are playing dress up in their photoshoots, they always come back to Marilyn Monroe blonde locks and sultry look or Elvis Presley's slick hair, blue jeans and a white tee -- there's a reason for that. Because those controversial and sensationalized moments in their careers catapulted them onto another stratosphere past their contemporaries, even if their contemporaries were arguably more in tune with their craft. The same principle applies today.
Britney Spears' career will always overshadow Beyoncé's career. It's
not the first and won't be the last career Spears will overshadow.
Some artists and their stans learn that the hard way.
Just accept it and move on. We all have.
And now that he's gone, Britney Spears is.
...Vin
Marilyn Monroe was a recording artist? Oh.
Or are we discussing the posthumous effect that takes place behind controversial deaths of young people in Hollywood?
We are talking about Britney Spears and Beyonce and who has sustained a more superior and successful career. Now, regroup & come back when you want to discuss that. Britney's sensationalism and negative headlines are not trumping Beyonce's acclaim and respect as a singer and entertainer. That's what you need to accept.
That controversy has done her no favors. She has not had an acclaimed live performance in almost 10 years, she hasn't won a Grammy in 7, and Beyonce has outsold her album for album for the last 9 years.
TTWE outsells 4 era
Womanizer sold 6M worldwide so If I Were a Boy can take a seat.
Also, Britney even broke Taylor Swift's digital sales record. If she's able to break Taylor's record there's no way in
hell Bey & her non-certified singles have more digital sales
This is a new atrl account but doesn't it get boring doing the same topics?
I will go with beyonce
She was always better
Love britney before in the past but she is nothing more than a mime act
That was really mind-boggling . Where did the "none of her peers respect her" come from? I think some of them think she's on Ke$ha's or Katy's level or something.
because THEY don't respect her, they think everybody doesn't
LIKE
nobody has ever said **** about britney (besides comedians obviously, but they make fun of everyone)

Single Ladies sold over 7 million worldwide. Very close to 5 million in the US not including 1 million ringtones it sold
Gaga, Madonna, Kyle, Katy, Selina, Nicki, Miley, Marina, Lana, Jessica, Christina, and countless others want a piece of Britney and they want to emulate her.
Who's here for beyonce?
I think that should answer the OP's question.
Ciara, Ashanti, Amerie, Kelly Rowland, Nicki, and a bunch of those idol girls.
I don't think I've seen many girls on there wanting to be the next Britney Spears.
All I can is this.. when Single Ladies comes on at a club, you best move to the dancefloor or get stomped on. Weave's flying, ass bouncin, hip swingin...

She's able to outsell her with 1 song. Any more?
Also, when Bey outsells Britney it's by a little margin, not like Britney who outsells her entire era and has a spare million left.
