One is a judge on a singing competition that has completely deteriorated & diminished before our eyes as a live performer before the age of 30. The other is a 16 time Grammy winning leading force in music that was also highly successful in one of the greatest female groups of all time that has conquered movies (half a billion at the box office), endorsements, touring, DVD sales, etc. Britney is not even respected by her peers, and it's a rare occasion to even see her perform on TV these days.
Sensationalism and controversy does not equal a superior career. Britney's legacy is nothing on Beyonce's. Memorable VMA performances and TRL is about the extent of Britney Spears.
