Demis first album came out when she was 16. She's been in this business for a while. Maybe not as long as other people but she has some experience. She admitted to watching AI since the beginning so i'm sure she knows what a judge is supposed to do.
If some of you don't know it was reported last year that Demi was being considered for the Season 1 of the X factor but she was too young so i'm sure they now think she's ready seeing as they went back to her again.
Get ready because she is about to prove some of you wrong!!

I don't care if people/haters trash Demi. She'll just deliver and you'll all be wowed. And to that person who says her vocals are whiny, I'm not so sure if the other 'singers' out there even have these so-called 'vocals' you're saying.

Lovato was the judge who said “no” the most to contestants — even when sometimes the other judges disagreed with her. However, Lovato has loads of personality, and I’m absolutely certain that she is going to win over millions of new fans who never heard of her before but will become admirers of her after they see her on “The X Factor.” And even though she is only 19 years old, Lovato acts mature and is clearly a smart “X Factor” judge. Lovato is also a rival to Cowell for being the most entertaining judge on the panel — and that may be why Cowell and Lovato have been getting into conflicts that are at times uncomfortable to watch. (More on that later.) How much of Cowell and Lovato’s “fighting” is staged will be up to you to decide when you see it on TV. The second season of “The X Factor” U.S. will premiere on Fox in September 2012, 12th.
By contrast, Cowell was at times downright rude to Lovato. For example, during one audition, when Lovato was giving feedback to a contestant, Cowell loudly made spitting noises while Lovato was talking, to try and drown out what she was saying. A lot of people in the audience seemed to be shocked that Cowell would stoop that low.
But Cowell needs to be careful about how badly he’s going to treat Lovato because many people in the audience are rooting for her. Unlike Scherzinger, Lovato is no pushover bimbo on the judges’ panel, and she is getting a lot of respect from people in the audience, who often cheered at what Lovato had to say.
Cowell can dish out plenty of snark, but not only can Lovato take it, she can dish it right back. During a break at the June 16 auditions in Oakland, Lovato mentioned that she wanted a miniature pig as a pet. Later, when a 14-year-old male contestant mentioned that he had a dog named Paul Newman, Cowell quipped, “If I had a dog, I’d call it Demi.” Lovato retorted, “If I had a pig, I’d name it Simon.”
When a teenage male duo sang Lovato’s hit “Skyscraper,” she said, “I’m honored that you chose my song.”
Cowell interrupted, “No, you’re not.”
Lovato said, “Yes, I am.”
This banter went on for close to 30 seconds before Lovato said to Cowell in exasperation, “I’m going to throw this pen at your head!”
In the first season of “The X Factor” U.S., Reid made a notorious mistake when he criticized teenage female contestant Drew for singing “Skyscraper” because Reid said it was a song for a “40-year-old.” (Reid was unaware at the time that “Skyscraper” was a hit for teenage Lovato.) At the Oakland auditions when the teenage male duo performed “Skyscaper,” Lovato reminded people about Reid’s mistake and she playfully teased Reid about it.
Later, when an eccentric, 24-year-old female contestant (who was dressed in a very unusual outfit) performed an original song that she wrote about being crazy, Cowell took a low blow by saying, “You could make this a tribute to Demi.”
Lovato, who is has been open with her struggles with being bipolar, was clearly offended, and she told the audience, “Tell Simon not to be mean to me anymore.” The audience roared their approval for Lovato and booed Cowell.
Although Lovato gave the most “no” votes during this audition date, she rejects contestants by giving constructive criticism. She also has a playful sense of humor, which charmed the audience.
Lovato and Reid seem to have developed a close bond (Reid even said to Lovato at one point “That’s my girl), and there is a clear divide on the judges’ panel. Cowell and Spears are most likely to agree with each other, while Lovato and Reid are most likely to agree with each other.

Demi, was analytical, explaining her decisions, but without the off-putting verbosity of say, Kara DioGuardi. Demi is cute as a button.

Playfully flirting with male contestants ("she is single now" became a common refrain from Cowell) and giving insightful comments at every chance, the teen star drew laughs and cheers from the crowd, along with several stunned, open-mouth stares from Cowell as the two verbally sparred.
It was those times when the interaction between the contestants and the judges produced the types of moments that show executives hope will increase ratings following the ouster of first-year judges Cheryl Cole, Nicole Scherzinger and former Idol judge Paula Abdul. Take the moment when Cowell, 52, admitted to taking a liking to a charismatic 22 year-old contestant, who returned his affection.
"It's too bad we didn't meet 10 years from now," Cowell said with a wink before Lovato drily countered, "More like 30 years."

Demi’s answers were brutal for some of them, but also very truthful and formulated all on her own. Demi seemed into it and very talkative.

Lovato had that chattiness with the often nervous contestants. She demonstrated a casual rapport with the singers, even when it was clear they weren't going to be cut.

However, Demi Lovato proved to be a spitfire in attitude, as well as chemistry with her fellow judges. And apparently it will only get better when the show actually airs because she will go head-to-head with Cowell the first episode.
Cowell will undoubtedly butt heads with one of the girls-- and if this panel (even via satellite) was any indication (and it should be), it will be Demi.
"Demi's a brat," he dead-panned. "But there's something really likeable about her as well. I think she'll bring in some of the younger audience, too, because I am in my late thirties now."
When asked why Cowell wanted Spears and Lovato on the show, he said that both bring different things and the show will show different sides to both of them. He admitted that everyone who sits on the panel is fair game for audience scrutiny, and their job security depends on how the audience responds to them and the dynamic they bring.
"They are harder to please than me or L.A.," Cowell said of Spears and Lovato. "They've definitely got their own opinions, but that's why we've hired them.
Lovato, who is the youngest in age but also in years in this business, feels she contributes to the show because she is the right demographic for the show. She listens to the radio; she knows what her friends listen to on the radio; and she feels she knows what the industry is in need of right now.
L.A. Reid echoed her sentiment, noting that she is the closest judge to the landscape of pop music today, while Spears is the "pop princess" and has been for quite some time.
"Our two ladies here keep Simon and I on point," he said.
"We are making some changes editorially and to the look of the show, not just against last year but also against the competition. There's a lot of competition this year," Cowell admitted. "The show will evolve a lot."
The X Factor will air a two night premiere starting on September 12th 2012 at 8 p.m. on FOX

Demi Lovato took a page out of Simon Cowell's playbook ... kicking a pair of 'X Factor' contestants off stage today for rapping about smoking bath salts ... TMZ has learned.
Sources on set for 'XF' auditions in Greensboro, NC ... tell us the two guys laid down a rap that included the line, "I'm high on bath salts."
Apparently most of the crowd didn't hear the lyrics, but Demi did -- and as soon as the duo finished she furiously scolded them, saying ... "It's really inappropriate to rap about drugs in front of kids."
We're told the audience agreed with Demi, and booed the contestants off stage ... and they were not judged for the competition.
that was probably everyone on atrl lbr I didn't even think she was going to be good
Flop stan
i always knew she had enough experience musically and vocally to do it.
I wasn't sure about how confident she'd be but apparently that's not a problem!
