You're not weird. But it really depends on how the song performs as to whether or not it will be worth it to promote on the VMA's. IF Dark Side doesn't continue climbing much, it would be better to promote a 4th single on the VMA's. A high energy Stronger/IFY mashup could work well

Looking at how dark side is climbing on both top 40 and hot ac right now, there's a chance it might still be climbing during the vma's. The vma's is in sept? And yeah, ds is either going to blow up on top 40 or start decreasing. Hopefully it will blow up? Ds received lots of top 40 adds for the past 2 weeks.
