Technically if you don't say at least their full first name, it's a nickname

So Brit, Rih, and Madge would all qualify as "nicknames" in the literal sense. I really don't see how Legend X is a nickname since I could have easily said the legend Christina but that's too much

But the inconsistency has been bugging me too. I think the mods should publish a thread or blog with all the allowable nicknames for an artist to avoid unnecessary controversy like this.

"Legend X" sounds like a stan-driven nickname.

With Brit, Rih, Madge, Bey or Xtina you are referring to the artists insinuating nothing about their legacy, success (or lack thereof), race, body complexity, etc. Inoffensive and widely accepted short versions of their names.

The problem with that though is that for YEARS Legend X became acceptable to use, because the name was not reported and ever warned for as long as I've been here. Also some moderators feel the name does NOT warrant a WP as seen in the case that Praise Mariallah pointed out when he reported a member for the same exact nickname and it went unwarned. I'm not here for this degree of unfairness
