It's just that it really irks me how they all come running when there's a negative Madonna thread, everytime

I won't be able to see her this time in Brazil and I probably never will either, so... it's sad indeed.

NOT necessarily on M's part (don't give me a warning point) but whether it's her decision can't be ruled out -- someone (either Live Nation, manager, local promoter, Madonna herself) thought the return investment wasn't big enough for hauling everything over there. There's obviously many more facets to it than that, but that's the crux of it.

But then why is it that serious touring acts like U2 and The Rolling Stones always go there?

Because their gross is much higher than Madonna's, at least U2's is. The transportation cost is nothing close to the $720M gross.
