So you can add a guy to the Taylor Swift stanbase. And I'd like to say 'hello' to you all!
And while I'm writing I might as well say, I'm upset that Taylor let Friday the 13th go without so much as a UStream announcement or something. If we don't get something this week...I'll be dead.

Hi! Glad you decided to post. I am hoping for news this week also but we will see what happens. Someone on TC posted they heard on the radio that the new single would be out in July. If that is true we will probably get something this week and the single will be released next week. It would have been nice if she had done something on the 13th but I guess it was too soon and they want to avoid a leak. The only thing I want is for the lead single to slay otherwise I am going to be very worried about this new era. She really needs at least two of her singles to have Love Story and You Belong with me type success.

Album #4 will sell 5 million albums in the U.S. go 5x platinum in Canada, 4x platinum in Australia, go 2x platinum in the U.K, go platinum in Japan, New Zealand, and Norway, and go gold in Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and Scandonavia. Anyone want to make any guesses like me? Oh and diamond in the Phillipines

First, thank you TheRealSlimShady! And thanks, honey- I'm glad I did too.
Second, I really hope we get something soon. Taylor's definitely one for following a pattern so I'm not expecting to hear anything until at least the first week in August but I was definitely hoping for some type of news this past Friday.
I hope she does another live chat though to announce the album. People on tumblr are always complaining about how they think she's changing and blah, blah, blah so I feel like if she doesn't announce it through a live chat they're going to be mad that she's not as close with the fans or whatever. A lot of people aren't over the fact that it's been over a year since her last vlog.
Also, I agree about the new single. It really needs to smash. I like "Mine" and it was pretty successful but she needs another LS or YBWM like you said. I feel like Speak Now had a lot of great potential singles and they made all the wrong decisions. I don't think "Mine" was a good choice for lead single. I really think Sparks Fly could've slayed and then fans could get the music video they'e always wanted. (Although, I was at the Gillette shows, so I was happy to see my footage in that video!)
The album will be successful no matter what but I really think she needs to step up her radio play with this next album. I don't know if she'll ever match the success of Love Story, but I'm hoping for something to get close!

Tbh i don't think LP4 era will be as big as Fearless, but I do believe it will be more successful than Speak Now. The song of the year 2013 thing is really making me go crazy (Scott Borschetta said she made a song that could be the potential song of the year 2013)

Don't forget about Malaysia, Taiwan, Hongkong, and Singapore
Some of Taylor's songs did well there, I mean, it can reach at least gold
And multiplatinum in Taiwan ( if I'm not wrong she has many fans there, right? )
Lead single leaves Hot 100 with 2,4-2,6million, and reach triple platinum before 2014

I've been seeing a lot of pictures of the new summer house. Looks pretty awesome. I'm hoping you'll run into her once summer. I'm gonna have to take a trip out there...maybe that'll be my chance to finally meet her!
I agree with you. I think Fearless could possibly be the peak of her career, to be honest. She will continue to be successful for a long time but as far as pure success- I think Fearless was the biggest. I hope to be wrong though, trust me.
I remember Scott saying that. I hope that he is right. I actually don't like when he talks about stuff because it drives me crazy in anticipation!
I think that we were spoiled with the success of Fearless. Speak Now was very successful in my eyes, yet the fans still kind of view it as somewhat of a flop compared to Fearless- at least as far as singles go. I'm hoping to get a million+ first week for LP4 but I'm just hoping it has amazing longevity more than aything else.
P.S. Hey, Safe&Sound. Nice username by the way, one of my favorite Taylor songs.
P.P.S. Thanks, Taylor__fan!

I don't like to make guesses because I usually end up wrong or disappointed. I would like her to smash hard in the U.S and have another significant breakthrough worldwide. It would also be nice if she was able to expand her adult fanbase and gain respect in the next phase of her career as an adult artist with critics. I would be thrilled if this next album turned out to be Taylor's Come on Over, Wide Open Spaces or Jagged Little Pill just iconic and something to carry her through her twenties. However realistically I would be slightly disappointed but happy as long as she sells over 4 million in the US and has some success on the radio. The results will depend on whether she pushed herself with this cd and whether people respond well to what she put out.

Yeah Speak Now was successful, other artists would do anything to have an era like that... but coming off of Fearless it didn't look too good
I really want a more country/folk approach to LP4, but I'm afraid it wouldn't smash worldwide. But quality>quantity

I really hope Fearless isn't the peak of her career because that would be such a waste of her potential. It would mean laziness on her part and not growing as a writer or musician which I feel more than any other current country artist out there she has the potential to do with results that could have her get a Diamond album for country music again. I take everything Scott says with a grain of salt but would be thrilled if that turned out to be true. I would like to see her move and experiment with maybe a more Miranda Lambertish sound or perhaps what The Dixie Chicks did in their Taking The Long Way album. I also really like what she did with The Civil Wars which I think suited her very well. However I believe Scott said he didn't hear anything like that on the album so we shall see. In any case I hope all the writing she has done by herself and with co writers has given her an album she is proud of and that people respond to it and give it longevity.

I think she's already established herself as an adult artist. I mean with 3 of her songs topping the adult contemporary chart for 10 weeks or more its obvious that adults like her. I know that what I'm about to say sounds weird but the people who haven't taken an interest in her are the country purists and the mainstream pop audience. Sure YBWM and Love Story were smashes but the majority of her songs haven't even made the top 10 on pop and I'm fine with that. I think only YBWM, Love Story, Teardrops, and Fifteen have made the top 10 and I'd say Fifteen only made it that far due to it coming off the hype of YBWM. I'd say Taylor has the mainstream country audience wrapped up and the adult contemporary audience as well. Its attracting the indie audience while not losing the pop audience that will be the problem for Taylor and if she has to choose a side I hope she chooses the indie side because quality> generic music
About the part that this could be her Come on Over. I think she's already had her Come on Over era. I'm hoping more for a Rumours, Who's Next, Zepplin IV era in that it has incredible sales but is also a legendary album that establishing the artist and guarantees that Taylor will be talked about for years and years to come.
