It's not about the lyrics of the song, but the creativity you put behind the lyrics to make the song. That was a club banger. I don't see why a club banger made purposely to make you dance has to have some special, intricate meaning behind it.
And just 6 writers is a bad thing? It's no one's fault that you can't afford to have that big of a team because I'm sure if you could, you would. Lets not be bitter about it.
Straw man argument. You can pick and choose any songs to make a point about the state of music. What if I compared "Someone Like You" to "Love to Love You Baby"? It would be the same idea reversed.
And I'd like to remind Ms. Jackson that the chorus to her biggest hit is just the phrase "This time, baby, I'll be bulletproof" repeated multiple times. That apparently took two people to come up with.
