Britney's irrelevant in the UK now, yes but that is not the only place in europe. Womanizer, HIAM and TTWE did well in several parts of europe.

This is silly. I don't have to go to Japan to see that BTW was the best-selling solo album of the year there or that she made $18m from three dates or hear reports from people who live there about how crazy the media frenzy is around her.

Unless you don't believe any reported news unless you witnessed it first-hand, this isn't a very consistent or practical position.

That's not what I got from what they said. I was looking at it from the other side (like when Beyonce is called "local" because "none of my friends like her"). Though what you say is also true.

Japan is the second biggest market in the word behind the US, and Asia is the most populous continent. She doesn't have "whole wide world" if she doesn't have Asia.

Her sales may be impressive for her little promotion but she's still no that big there either way.
