Not all of us do. I tend to warn the reporter if the post is 2+ months old.

I don't know where the demand for this feature comes from. I've never seen it on any forum I frequent. It's pretty advanced stuff cause the forum software would have to scan each submitted post for quotes, and then notify people accordingly. But that means you could also add bogus [quote] tags to your post and spam people with quote notifications. I wonder how it works when properly implemented.
