Pop singers should never release outside of the 3rd or 4th quarter because that's where the majority of their sales come from.
If a single releases in December (& there better be one to coincide with the X Factor), she needs to release a follow-up in March or April, with the album coming out in May at the earliest. Preferably May 28th.
Way too late. She needs to book a fall release, although she'd be setting up to compete with heavyweights in the charts. I will pray for all those who dare to release their albums on the same day as Taylor's......all 14 songs of SN charted.
