Why is this once again becoming Rihanna Vs. Beyonce...like stop falling for the trap...that post about which one of them supports gays least made me realize that race is still very much so a factor with some of these ignorant girls here. The agenda in that thread was clear and yall girls continue to fall for that divide and conquer bull **** get a grip.
And race will ALWAYS be prevalent...anyone who diminishes being the first black to do something is ignorant
Thank you, there is a reason the ongoing battle between them exists and it has everything to do with them both being black.
These children clearly need a history lesson on the lives of Dorothy Dandrige, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, and even Beyonce who STILL to this very day gets attacked for being light skinned.
It's not just the Beyonce stans that do it though, so why isolate them?
And in a world where non-Whites are treated like second class citizens, minority artists accomplishing what the majority artists have, it IS an accomplishment and commendable. Race is and will always be an issue regardless if you want to admit it or not.
How are you not responding to the legitimate replies people like Satellites are putting forth?
Because they're simply not worth my time or not saying anything new or interesting that i myself haven't agreed with or heard before.
Most of them are acting like i said that they shouldn't use the race card AT ALL, when i'm saying that they use it TOO MUCH. There's a big difference. I don't believe that they should bring race up for nearly as much things as they do.
Excuse me but are yall not the same people
Who bring up Beyonces race everyday?
Calling her a white woman & says she bleaches her skin
Because she hates being black?
Save that "Oh NIE they cry black too much"
Not when yall are crying white.
But that's all swept under ATRL's dirty ass rug.
Oh, and once again, stop generalizing. That ******** has never come from me or lots of other Bey stans. People just love to knit pick.
There are times when Beyoncé accomplishes something, and it IS significant from a racial standpoint. But there are also times where her achievements have nothing to do with her being black, in which case her race would not be relevant to the discussion.
No it's not a lie. Rihanna has not done anything first. Mariah Carey was the first Black woman to have 11 #1 singles for example. (she now has 18.) I don't mean to shade, but....
Oh hEY @ The Queen being the first black woman to have 11 #1 singles.

Now you know that's not Rihanna's only record. What about her YouTube receipts, for example? That's just one thing we could brag about with regards to her race, but we don't.

This... As of today there is nothing in Rhiannas career that a black person or black female hasn't done before her.
N I'm not sure why people try to say Rhianna isnt black. I read it on here before and was astonished.
Because it would make NO SENSE to state that a white woman did something first genius, when did white women as a whole face any type of barrier that held them back from accomplishing the same features as other people after they were allowed to vote since that's probably all you have to fall back on.
Did they walk through the back of buildings to perform on stage?
Did they have rocks thrown at their tour bus?
Did they have to change in bathrooms because dressing rooms were for white acts?
Were they refused clothing because they didnt fit a certain look by designers.
**** OUTTA HERE.

Do you ever heard people mention that Thriller is the best selling male album? Do you hear people mention that U2 has the biggest tour by male artists? NO. I guess since some women can sell as much as men, we should never mention "female" in an achievement either.
The ignorance on this site is astonishing, some of you might be young but it's really NO excuse to be that clueless.
But isnt she the only black woman doing it? When you think of Black celebs or black musicians, rihanna comes to mind. The fact you feel the need to neglect her because of her background is what's irrelevant here.
She has done stuff that she's the only "Black Woman" to do. We just dont brag about it by pulling her race into it.
The first black woman to hav 2 different Vogue covers in the same year, not to mention the youngest person to do so.
No we think of the quintessential performer *cough cough* when we think of famous Black woman.
And cool, I didn't know Rihanna did that. Good for her. That is a great accomplishment and people should acknowledge how major it is for a Black woman to have done that.

It's a proven fact that Beyonce and Rihanna have to work twice as hard as their contemporaries to have success. Same with Janet or any other black artist that crosses over. It's a shame, but race has always been a factor. I just don't care either way because music shouldn't have a color.
Or talking about how the BET awards are unecessary since "they only cater to a certain race."
They're just as obsessed with race as anyone else.

WAIT A ****IN MINUTE
I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ****!!!!!!
Hold Up. These ignorant mother****ers have NERVE How dare they try to demean the Beyonce stans when they bring up race more than them, and in the most ignorant ways!!

Are you saying cause Rihanna isn't a good performer she's not thought of as a black woman?
