Since she's already in the process of recording the album and she finishes by the fall, is there anyway she can hold it off or keep it under wraps till next year? or do labels usually press for albums to be released when they're initially finished?
Depends on how Def Jam&Roc Nation feel,they can keep it under wrap till next year or just release it next month.

I'd love if Rihanna pulled a TFM like Gaga and released an EP with 6-8 tracks, the best of the best of the best. Cut it short with about 4-5 singles and then a new album in early 2014.
