There's nothing wrong with a perfume/CD bundle. A lot of artists do it. The album would still be bought at full price.

I honestly feel like a tour ticket/album bundle is really just a nice offer for customers. It's not tacky or cheap, it's pairing a live experience with the studio experience.

It's nothing like the 99 cent deal 2.0.

But I don't think she really needs to. I'd actually her just discount her album to $3.99 then do this tour ticket bundle.

True, but if it fails like Madonna's deal did, it would look bad. Then again, it's not going to fail. Like, according to reports, most of Madonna's first week sales came from that deal, so can you imagine how many extra copies Gaga's new album will sell? We could be looking at another 700k opening, which would make her (or Taylor) the highest debut of the year. I have a feeling Interscope might do that.

No one needs to do anything if they're already established acts, but Lady Gaga isn't somehow "above" good marketing.

October (mid/late Oct) and December are her only available months, outside of her summer break.

December would probably miss out on a lot of the holiday sales, especially since Black Friday would be lost.. But October seems really soon.

No way would she rush it out when she's in Europe touring, album wise. She'd announce the title and be like "hey it's out next week while I'm in germany. Buy US monsters!" lol

She could make a run for RoTY/SoTY finally (and Pop Vocal performance) if she put out a single in August/September, and then followed up with the album release in October and got aggressive for holiday sales.

Why does it matter if she's on tour? She was tour when TFM came out. If the music is good enough, it will sell the album until she can come to the US. If she released the album in mid-October, she could cash in on Black Friday/Holiday sales and promote.

You're right about Oct. seeming so soon, though. That would mean a single would come in September. I am SO here for only a month-long wait between lead single and album.
