I know what you mean Bryan, Beyonce spaces her albums.
I think Gaga might become like Rihanna with yearly releases...she loves making music right
|
Non English albums and Christmas albums don't really count as mainstream releases, so Mi Reflejo and My Kind of Christmas can be omitted...
So yeah, Bionic was her fourth.

I said the same thing. Monsters better stop criticizing Rihanna for her yearly releases, Gaga is on her track.

Safe to say that the album will sell that much too. 1.7 million in the US, is what I'm thinking. Thats just the natural rate of sales decay. BTW is at 1.8 million US if you take out the Amazon sales.

AP? Luc talked about her in an interview

On Lady Gaga
At the age of 25 a girl walked into my bar and we instantly fell in love. (I found out later that at the time, she was only 20 years old with a fake ID). We dated off and on for over six years. She wrote a bunch of catchy pop songs and realized that if she walked around in public with a potted plant on her head the world would say “who is that?” and the tabloids would write stories about her. Her life, needless to say, completely changed, and I’m not the type of guy who can sit on someone else’s yacht sipping champagne. Unfortunately, to date someone who is never in the same country, let alone zip code, you had better be rich or be willing to live off of their money. I was neither.
Unfortunately, I get a bum rap. I could write four bestsellers and have 100 radio shows per week and the general public will still be more interested in the ex-boyfriend title. (You already thought about skipping the rest of the article...see what I mean?).
She’s an amazing woman and I wish her all the best in the world. Although I think we all know she already has it.

I personally don't see anything wrong with yearly releases. Never have I criticized Rihanna for it because she makes music I can bop to. As long as Gaga does the same and her quality doesn't decrease then I'll be here for it. Need music to shake my booteh too

I'm positive at least half of those 440K would have bought it either way. They just took advantage of the discount. So 2M

I hope she takes a longer break after this next album. (I bet she will to actually have a personal life)

I see where he's coming from. He doesn't sound pressed though. Even though I don't like him, I hope they remain civil.

Rihanna's eras overlap though, she releases in October/November (I can't remember exactly) every year. 'Born This Way' will be at least 17 months old when the next album is released.

I read earlier that Lady Gaga already has TEN 2x > platinum songs in the US. I didn't realize how many hit singles she's had here in such a short time span.

Definately, those that believe that most of those people buying the discount wouldn't have bought the album orginally are just delusional.

That's three studio albums and a re-release in 4 and-a-half years.

I also think the album that's (potentially) coming out later this year from Gaga was a last-minute choice, when the BTW era ended sooner than expected.

Wow ten
She only has like six here, but then again the platinum certification in US right now is a bit low IMO

I wonder if she already planned to make a new album so early.
Or she decided to do it because her singles were under performing

Lady Gaga's 2x platinum or better singles:
Just Dance, Poker Face, LoveGame, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, Born This Way, The Edge of Glory, You & I
2x platinum or better albums:
The Fame, Born This Way
100M+ AI singles:
Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Born This Way, The Edge of Glory
She's been remarkably consistent in the US, despite her BTW hiccups.
