Carrie Underwood (like her friend Miranda Lambert throwing that sutble shade at Taylor. Hmm wonder why she wouldn't want to be like Taylor who writes her own songs and has almost universtal critical praise for her songwriting and public behaviour...not to mention the comment "her songs are lighter" what a joke
Carrie explained: ''Our songs are definitely different. She sings a little bit lighter sometimes and it's just a difference in our brand of country.''
The blonde beauty is on a mission to make country music more widely known and celebrates the diversity that new country-pop crossover songs offer.
She said: ''For me it's more exciting than anything if somebody likes me and start listening to country music over other all those other artists.
''People want so much 'real country music', but for me it's cool that we can bring more people into country music by being different.''

(unlike Miranda, Carrie didn't even attempt to disguise her shade with any sort of back-handed praise)
