It is. I was wrong for that. Love Story was bigger than Breakaway. Sales and chart performance.


But really, what I learned from this thread is that its really hard to compare an era four years apart from eachother. We are going around in circles because one had better Album sales, one had better singles sales and a better tour. Times have changed, what was profitable before isn't anymore. What wasn't profitable before is profitable today. I'm pretty sure both had impact on the music industry it's just really hard to point out when, what and where.

I love Fearless (album) and in my opinion, Since U Been Gone is one of the best pop songs released last decade.

Oh I didn't say that all of Taylor's songs are Country-Pop , we all know that she has Pop songs , and such as TSOU , BTR , it's Pop , and even Taylor knows that , that's why she didn't send it to Country .


But the majority of her music has Country influence that's strong enough to qualify as a Country artist . it's not about the melody only too .

I think Taylor starts off as a country artist, yes, but her second album hardly had any country influences, especially those songs that sold well, just look at YBWM, there is no way in chance that is considered country. I think the only impact from taylor from that era is to introduce country to younger audience, but that's pretty much it
