UGH. JUST UGH. LOOK at all those 10’s. Look at all those 10’s WASTED because this song, despite deserving to, missed the top 10. This power ballad slayed me the first time I heard it. I mean just the that one small moment between the “I don’t know but I don’t wanna ask” line and the chorus still gets me everytime. And then there’s Burke’s voice, the rasp in it as she sings the chorus. Giving me Leona tease but better (except for Run). I’m mad.
****, I love this song. Mama Do should have left before this. Speaking of which, why is Mama Do still here? I totally forgot it was still in this. Anyways, this feel good break-up jam is one of Pixie’s best. The bridge slays and it just has a certain positive energy that can’t be denied. Ya’ll are some pressed hoes for not letting this and the next track make the top 10.
