I can't wait for teh Kween to write a song like this:
Quote:
Isolation
In fear every day, every evening,
He calls her aloud from above,
Carefully watched for a reason,
Painstaking devotion and love,
Surrendered to self preservation,
From others who care for themselves.
A blindness that touches perfection,
But hurts just like anything else.
Isolation, isolation, isolation.
Mother I tried please believe me,
I'm doing the best that I can.
I'm ashamed of the things I've been put through,
I'm ashamed of the person I am.
Isolation, isolation, isolation.
But if you could just see the beauty,
These things I could never describe,
These pleasures a wayward distraction,
This is my one lucky prize.
Short, dark, scary, haunting, meaningful. IDGAF about 'sex' songs whatever it is, depressed songs are much more epic than those shallow songs.
Please, kween. You've been writing with FTP, and even tho PUK is awful lyrically, but the theme of the song is similar to "Isolation". Please, I need you to write song in that theme but has better lyrics. Slay my ****ing soul. Make me think.
You Belong With Me would have to be my favorite (from SNWT CD).

See? Compare "Pumped Up Kicks" to "Isolation", and you will see how ****** PUK actually is.
And again, I don't like shallow 'sex' songs. Hell give me 100 love songs over a sex song any day. But songs about being all depressed and suicidal like Joy Division's discography is just so ****ing deep, using imagery without being cheesy. It has substance that you can't get without digging your soul deep enough. In short, Joy Division showed how it's done in making beautiful, deep, and dark songs.

Safe & Sound vs. Haunted Acoustic
what do you guys think? ....my two favorite ballads
As much as I love S&S, going with Haunted Acoustic.
What's this I'm hearing about Taylor rubbing shoulders with the guy from Snow Patrol?
Is she trying to kill me? Is that what she's trying to do?
I'm scared.
For now, I won't say anything or judge. One lesson that I've learned in a hard way is, never doubt the Kween. Cause she is Taylor Swift. Taylor ****ing Swift.
I think(and hope) that Taylor's career doppelganger ends up being Stevie Nicks. They both have soft, lovely voices(except that Stevie is obviously a much better technical singer), both have Country/Folk influences to their music, but are mostly Pop, and I hope that Taylor can become as much, or hopefully even more of a singer-songwriter icon than Stevie is.
I've always broken it down like this:
Adele - Whitney/Aretha
Taylor - Stevie
Gaga - Madonna
I'm more nervous about her working with new producers than I am about all these cowriters. Aside from her collabs, I think everything she's ever done was produced by Chapman.
What if the new stuff by other producers isn't as good?

I see it like that too. But deep inside I want her to be the female version of Ian Kevin Curtis. Shoot me.

She worked with Robert Orrall on her debut and beautiful eyes. I don't know which songs though. I'd assume the songs would be A place in this world, invisible, and I'm only me when I'm with you from the debut since he helped write them. So that means he produced those 3 and Beautiful eyes and I heart?
