I was merely pointing out that if you think it important for people to be informed that what they believe in is not substantiated by evidence that there are areas in life where that would be much more useful, such as dedicating your life to a deity, rather than believing there might be an aquatic humanoid.

Yep, the same as other aquatic mammals.

By that persons logic nothing could live at the bottom of the sea. Evolution adapts the body to suit the environment. I don't think they get that we aren't talking about some nutjob getting a surgical tail and declaring themselves a mermaid.

A human being wouldn't have survived long enough on the ocean floor to have "evolved" into a mermaid. You would be crushed within seconds. I don't think some of y'all understand how long the process of evolution takes.

It isn't biologically possible for spaghetti to fly and start living.

My FSM arugment was towards your absence of evidence arugment, not your biological possiblilty argument. I considered the two separate arguments.

For you to claim that mermaids are biological possible, I say that requires some evidence. Then you go back to lack of evidence is not evidence, then I return to the idea of evidence being the burden of the accuser, not the denier.
