I love coming home to a nice big mess.
Azealia has very few straight hip-hop songs in her discography so far; what she said changes little.

That's not happening. Some of you need a reality check, like seriously, because when Nicki releases the lead single for Pink Friday 3, you will all be having nervous breakdowns comparable to Britney and the umbrella.
At most, she'll release an all hip-hop mixtape, but in general, Nicki will ALWAYS be pop/R&B focused, including dance/EDM, with her big budget albums.
Anyways, I told y'all Azealia will ditch this hardcore hip hop ****. She's considered an alternative artist, internationally nobody cares for ghetto crap, and she'll make money the M.I.A.-way of doing things, perhaps with some big pop tunes too.

How do you know what she is going to do next? Did she tell you herself? And how is she going to ALWAYS be Pop/R&B when she only has a handful of pop songs that were experimental?

It says EVERYTHING that Nicki's not even considering releasing an urban track as a mainstream single, even after all this "backlash". Champion is being assigned to urban radio only. She might as well have scrapped the first half of the album altogether if she wasn't going to give a crap.

Some of her songs on her debut album were pretty poppy too though. She'll probably always have a handful of pop-ish songs on her albums ala super bass and starships, which is smart. It'll keep her in the general public's eye

She said it herself in an interview, was it Esquire or something. But she's not gay so the lyric works and proves her bisexuality. ie she's fine with having relationships with women.

Well obviously. Why would she release Champion to Pop for? That's like saying she'd release PTA to Urban.
But which track is currently smashing Urban and climbing up Rhythmic?
When Nicki's next album is all Hip-Hop except for 1-3 SB/VVV tracks, don't say anything.

I seriously doubt that. She's had enough time to dabble in pop which is what she wanted to do. Now what she should be doing next era is straight hip-hop .

Yes i agree strongly that its extremely annoying when they dont bother sending any of the hip hop records over to pop but spending money on music videos is hardly "not giving a crap"

So you want her to completely abandon what put her in the position she's in now?

How and why did this turn into a Nicki thread over her next album?

You have the first Pink Friday album, right? You do realise Did It On Em is the only major hip-hop single released from it?
The other singles - Super Bass, Fly, Your Love, Check It Out, Girls Fall Like Dominoes and Moment 4 Life - were are all pop/R&B.

I don't know...if those songs have proven to be majorly successful thus far, why terminate the strategy?
