I can't tell if you are being serious or not. But I think someone being vocal for their beliefs and showing support for others is admirable. If anything good comes from it, people who didn't care for her before might take notice of it and now have some respect for her and maybe they will give her music a chance and it might lead them to buying her albums as well.

She took a position on the matter, you can disagree but there's no need to feel sad or devasted. It's her point of view, i'm glad she let the world know her position about same sex unions.

A lot that celebrities do behind closed doors would be shocking to fans. They don't ask to be role models. They aren't the voice of this or that cause unless they choose to be. Carrie's pageanty good girl look is all a big formula to keep her image steady since it works so well. Country music isn't as open as pop when it comes to controversy. Just ask LeAnn Rimes... but choosing to take a stance on a hot button topic is a great thing for her to do as long as she really feels that way. Things like this will get her in the news and grab a whole new audiences attention, which I'm sure is what the label wants.
