With and Era like Born this way and the singles not that much radio friendly she had to do so many shows and promote ! She didnt do so much promo for telephone and alejandro ! I dont even think she did promo for telephone in the US & alejandro all she did was american idol

I agree. It really,really surprises me that "Telephone" sold as much as "Born" with the limited amount of promo .

Well, on the bright side, when a piece of work is consumable, that's when people start to appreciate hard work. Paparazzi, for example, was going nowhere on the charts despite being potentially consumable until the epic performance. Same with Bad Romance, which wasn't smashing until Gaga activated Epic Video Mode.

Consumable work is just the groundwork for smashes; from there, hard work really does pay off.
