That's a wav. file, which is big and not many people use it, and it's attached to a link that not many people know about. I don't think it will hurt the digital sales, which probably won't be that much anyway.

Well, yes but I'm not sure if these emails (with these links) are meant for the general public. In quite a few of them it says things like; "dropping on your desks next week" or something similar. I don't know how labels work when it comes to getting their music played/known my stations and DJs but it does make sense in sending out mass emails to all radio stations with the song so they can just import it straight into their system.

They finally got rid of the single version of We Are Young?
I hate when single versions roam around while the albums they come from are already out. It just irks me for organizational reasons.

You guys know that Tik Tok was released as a free download briefly in summer 2009? So songs can still be massive hits afterwards.
Rack City is also available for free download, as it's on Tyga's mixtape, which you can get for free, but that was still a pretty big hit.

I wasn't being shady, or at least it wasn't intentional shade. I seriously doubt "Sweat" pulls in many digital downloads simply because it's too urban and not strong enough for the iTunes crowd. Hopefully, they have something stronger coming.

I don't want her to release a dance-pop song, because there's about 20 others being released at the moment.
****** in Paris got to #2 on iTunes at one point I think, so urban songs can do well on downloads if pop radio play them. Look At Me Now, Rack City, The Motto, Down On Me, etc. also did great on downloads recently due to being played a bit on pop radio.

Yeah, but we all know that urban songs don't tend to do as well on iTunes as other genres, and Ciara is no Kanye or Jay-Z and she isn't a new artist that is just gaining traction. She is coming back from two flop eras. It's different.

She'll flop if she releases a dance-pop song anyway. She'll just come across as extremely desperate.
The two songs that have done best on iTunes this year are Somebody That I Used to Know and We Are Young, so maybe she should release something more in that direction if she really gets desperate, but I'm not here for some Enrique Iglesias ****.

+ Sweat is not even all that. Wouldn't go as far and say its basic but yeah. Bit of a let down.

Ciara is never going to get a hit bigger than Goodies, but I think if she released another song like that it could be pretty big (i.e. top 10). Obviously, I don't want it to actually be a crunk song, but a similar vibe would be awesome. It would be so different and original now.

****** in paris was released by jay and ye (two powerful digital sellers)
drake has urban and mainstream appeal (the motto was also itunes only I believe, which helped the song)
EDIT: dead i can't @ me forgetting wayne (a powerful digital seller) was also on the track
rack city blew up b/c of that viral video
down on me managed to cross over, but I don't see "sweat doing the same". I love cici and i love sweat, but I'm hoping this is strictly a promo single, b/c the album has a lot of potential (or so it seems)

Ciara doing alternative equals a big fail.
Ciara is a dancer and is known for up tempo music. If Usher, Chris Brown and Rihanna can release dance songs, then I don't see why Ciara can't do it either. She should be desperate at this point. She failed TWICE. Three strikes...

If she has a song that can crossover like Down On Me or Super Bass, that would be fantastic.

You do know hip hop music is made to dance to? You don't have to sell out to make a dance-able song. Ciara has loads of urban club songs.

And I just met iTunes, and this is crazy, but here's my link, buy me maybe.
And that Ciara song might climb a little when it's released cause 2 Chainz is hot right now...
