Songs with strong debuts never had much longevity anyway, I won't be surprised if her lead singles won't have much longevity.But, there are some very few exceptions ( like "Boom Boom Pow", "Right Round" ...).

I still think she can have a mixture of both if she manages to maintain her radio support. For that, she needs a commercial song.

I think 'incredibly bad' is a bit of an exaggeration, though. I mean, she had a successful year. It was decent by her standards.

I don't think NYE had much of a negative effect though. Jo did. That was off-putting to a lot of different people.

The big media moments should spark controversy, but in a way that attracts people to Gaga - to find out more. She shouldn't garner repulsion.

True, but Bieber still had a massive debut. I think Gaga'll be the same. She just needs to make sure her music is radio-friendly for longevity.

She's always really subtle and tries hiding the song titles in normal conversation/tweets.

Prepare to be hyped the **** out of and reach for the biggest clues by deciphering tweets and speeches she gives at concerts. There is a way to find out information though. It's just where you look. I remember her tweeting "so happy I could die" months before TFM. She also sang the chorus of BTW before the VMAs.

I don't think she's gonna hype much at all this time.

If most of the music is done already (which it could be), she's being very good about not saying much. Her tweet last night was the first time she's even noted that it's all listenable/that far along in the process, and even then she didn't say it was amazing or something. Just that it had been heard.

Yes, she needs airplays, they're necessary. But I forgot about the new Hot 100 rule, the Streaming/On-demand points gives much longetivity, I don't think that we should be worried about it, even if she'll have hard time to debut at #1.
