Because it's the type of mentally abusive relationship. It's the type of relationship where the girl lost her head completely. Even tho the guys is a total jackass and no matter how much he has hurt the girl, she will keep coming back. The cycle won't stop until the girl herself decided to end it.
Not so sure on "Haunted". It's just hard to figure on that one. But I'll go with John again this time.
