After Mean peaked at number two and blocked by Honey Bee for three weeks and the failure of Story of Flop on pop, BMR played it safe. They played for Billboard Country No1 and in my opinion they changed their single choices. Speak Now, the album's title track, would be fifth and last single of this era like Fearless.
I'm listening to "Brought Up That Way" and I hope it's that rumored unreleased track that's supposed to be on the 4th album. It's so beautiful and will prove people wrong! This song is flawless.
Not releasing "Speak Now" as a single was hands down the biggest mistake of the era.

It was definitely a miss step by them. I was so sure that it was going to be the last single, unfortunately I was wrong. The chorus is so infectious, if it had been released to radio I am sure it would have done very well.
Like I've mentioned many times in this thread, the track just screams, RADIO SONG.
IKR ?!?!?!
that song might not be the best song in the album but it was a sure fire hit!! country radio would have eaten it up !! it would have done great on itunes too..
Sparks Fly is included at Now That's What I Call Country Volume 5.
I need that platinum certification
And @Speak Now I really thought it would be the YBWM 2.0 of the album, instead, she opted to "prove" something and released Mean+TSOU.
Then, they refrained from releasing Haunted and hit the emergency alarm by releasing Sparks Fly and Ours. THEY NEEDED THOSE NO. 1 ON BILLBOARD or else SOMEONE GETS FIRED.

Any music video ideas to Innocent? (or you just don't like it that much?)
I once thought that it would be the second single and really saw the potential in it, especially at HAC and AC and Rock/Alternative, maybe Pop too but anyways, I picture its music video like this:
Quote:
The video starts with scenes of Police Cars.
Taylor lives in with a black guy (for a change). They're happy and in love blah, blah, with sexy bed scenes blah, blah, blah, then the guy does something really bad, I mean something really unlawful, like kill someone. And when Taylor, being an angel as she is, tried to turn her lover in, she tried to explain it to him but he was so mad that he attempted to kill Taylor (big argument scene here)
In the end, it was TAYLOR WHO KILLED CHRIS BROWN or TREY SONGZ (the black guy lover) (c)

Just my imagination. . . .
i like that video idea(with a few adjustments) but thats the furthest from "taylor video reality" that one can go!! that is more than impossible for taylor to do..
although i dont like innocent that much so i'd rather she gives me a vid for SN, haunted or enchanted!!

Apparently, according to loads of people and twitter, she's releasing a video for "Enchanted" in August? I doubt it, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I feel the same way for Need You Now and Your Face, if she turned Sparks Fly to SPARKS FLY, I mean, the epicness is endless lol
If Better Off was a single, Love Story could have been BO 2.0 and Mine as BO 3.0
