I tried to get into Robyn, but her music is too pop for me. It's like pop music in it's purest form. So for that reason I see why so many love her, but it's just not my thing. She does have a nice voice though.
Blessed with a multi-octave range, and doomed for a tragic life, Judy Garland places a tad too low. One of the great belters, Judy started as Frances Gumm, and was shoehorned into show business by a domineering mother. (Will this be a repeating characteristic?) She signed to MGM as a teenager, and because most famous due to The Wizard of Oz. She was married five times, and at least three of those husbands were GAY. The men came and went, but that voice - rough and ragged as the years went by - never lost it's power.
