My two thoughts are he either was a hunter and would lock werewolves up in there for some reason or that he's even more of a ****ed up parent and would put his son in there. Those are the only two explanations for those scratch marks.
Definitely locked Isaac in there. He was an abusive asshole.

It was not werewolf, it was that lizard monster, imo
I don't buy that Jackson didn't turn during the full moon. In last night's episode Jackson was shown in a body of water with a fresh animal bite. That thing that came at Allison looked like something that would live in or near water. That thing = Jackson.
