I would cut that part of the food off then continue to eat. There are children who are in third world countries that would love to eat anything.

Lord when I was in Ghana this was a HUGE problem. The flies are everywhere in tropical countries it's really tough I felt like crying

There legs are microscopic. I highly doubt it'll do any harm. Unless there's a hoarde of flies, I'll still eat. Even then, you have to keep your immune system strong. Your stomach acid can kill anything.
