So Americans, when did the Democrats/Republicans switched?
Ok guys. Obviously not american here but I've been always fascinated by your political system and its history. It's really amazing how a republican president freed the slaves and then the democrats used to be slave owners. I mean what kinda black magic happened? The former republicans used to be liberals then now they're seen as conservatives and democrats into modern liberals. So educate me with this. Did the former democrats just switched to the other side and with their descendants seing the error of their ancestors' ways or did the republicans in power got corrupted somewhere down the line since a republican president's blood has been shed like two times cause I mean a bloody history is usually the trail full of mysteries and deceit.
