Yes. And it's not even a fair comparison since 1989 doesn't have Spotify.

Why would you include Spotify when 1989 isn't on Spotify?
1989 will end up with more YouTube streams than PRISM, it wins.

No, Katy's songs will keep gaining views therefor maintaining a lead.

Did you account for the 1 year head start PRISM had over 1989?

If you will put Spotify out, then it's unfair for Katy too. Taylor gains more YT views because she didn't put her music on Spotify. It's fair play.

As already said, unfair comparison. 1989 is more successful than PRISM in every way imaginable.

I debated whether or not to include them, but I figured it couldn't hurt because streaming is streaming. Taylor opted not to put her music on Spotify, and if someone wanted to listen to her music, they can simply stream it through the VEVO or YouTube sites and/or apps instead. Taylor's era also debuted in a time when streaming was more prominent than Katy's era. It evens out.
Plus there's this:

Which means that her total streams are not less because of the lack of Spotify contribution.

This. The OP says "streaming", which includes Spotify as well as YouTube and VEVO.

No, because:
a) Time of release has nothing to do with this thread, which (as outlined in the OP) will be regularly updated alongside the ongoing 1989 era.
b) If anything, an era in 2014-15 will gain streams more readily than an era in 2013-14 due to streaming's increasing popularity.

Exactly. This is a streaming comparison, not a YouTube/VEVO comparison. Ignoring Katy's Spotify streams would be more unfair to Katy than including them is unfair to Taylor, as Taylor chose not to put her music on Spotify, and it doesn't seem to be affecting her streaming numbers at all.

It definitely has a chance to do it. Especially if the "Wildest Dreams" music video is good.
Btw, beautiful OP

no Sam it's literally the opposite. people were still watching SIO at the same rate when it was available on Spotiify. bye

1989 will easily pass Prims even with Spotify incuded (which is far in my mind, streaming is streaming). Bad Blood is still going super strong, Wildest Dreams will hopefully get a good video and she confirmed that Wildest Dreams will not end the era.
Hope we get streaming numbers for everyone to see from Apple Music sometime soon.

Your intention is more than obvious
Anyway, can't wait for Taylor to release the Wildest Dreams video and slay her competition once again

It appears that I have misinterpreted your post, if this is the case. Regardless, Taylor's era still benefits from being debuted in 2014 when streaming was at a higher peak than in 2013.
Should I include a second value to the OP comparing Katy's numbers to Taylor's without Spotify contribution?
